Goal: Get and stay organized from the beginning. Avoid over purchasing and save time and money.
1. Make a list of what your family uses and how much you are purchasing of each item for a given time period (i.e.: 3 lb. of ground beef a week). Include food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.
2. Go through your house and write down what you have on hand.
3. Go to http://www.thekrazycouponlady.com and download her “Stockpile Amount Guidelines” for a suggested stockpile list.
4. Create your family stockpile list. Make a MASTER LIST with only the items and stockpile amounts needed listed. Then, fill in how much you have on hand. I suggest using an Excel spreadsheet to create your list.
Now you know what you have and what you need to grow your stockpile. Don’t worry, you don’t need to buy it all tomorrow!
Stay tuned for Lesson 2 🙂
